ARIADNE

The European research infrastructure for archaeological data. At the Archaeology Data Service, Émilie works on aggregation, ontology mapping and the CDLI's place in the portal.

ARIADNE
  • Role: Research Associate, Archaeology Data Service
  • Infrastructure: ARIADNE Research Infrastructure AISBL, the non-profit association under Belgian law that carries on the ARIADNE and ARIADNEplus projects funded by the European Commission

The ARIADNE portal aggregates more than four million archaeological resources from partners across Europe into a single catalogue, searchable by place, period and subject. Émilie works on the ingestion and mapping of partner datasets to the AO-Cat ontology, the CIDOC CRM based model behind the catalogue, and on bringing records of inscribed artefacts from the CDLI into the portal so that cuneiform texts can be found alongside the archaeology of their sites.
